AFGO's French classes for the Fall

As you may know, Alliance Française of Greater Orlando (AFGO) is offering private and semi-private classes in French for both adults and children aged 7 to 15. Given the success of their French School and due to some recent specific requests, they are considering expanding the scope of classes to include children aged 4 to 6. This will not be another daycare center. AFGO immersion courses/classes will provide the younger children with a wonderful opportunity to open their minds to another language and culture.

The courses/classes will be taught by a highly-experienced native French speaking teacher, specialized in instructing young children. There will also be an additional adult to supervise the class. Under the instruction and watch supervision of these ladies, your children will play, sing, dance, read, talk about shapes and colors, and have fun together… all in French.

AFGO are exploring the feasibility of this program on the following preliminary basis:

· Schedule: a small class of 3 to 5 children on Saturday afternoon, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Should this program become very popular, we will also consider holding classes from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm weekdays.
· Targeted launch date: September 26, 2009.
· Location: AFGO office, 1516 East Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32803. Tel: 407-895-1300

· Price: $ 195.00 for a block of 10 hours. Possibility of discount for multiple registrations in the same family.

Should you potentially be interested, please send an e-mail at: alliancefrancaiseorlando@gmail.com in which you will provide the following data:
· Parent name (last and first): …………………………………………………………

· How many children aged 4 to 6 to be registered:…………………………

· E-mail address:……………………………………………………………………………..

· Phone: Home…………………………… Cell or work:………………………………

Please do not hesitate to talk to your relatives and friends about this opportunity.

"C'est Si Bon" in Winter Park Examiner

Bastille Day - when the French Revolution sort of started - was celebrated (late) last Friday in Audubon Park in a FABCO-sponsored entitled C'est Si Bon. With French food, wines, shows, films, and spontaneous street entertainment, this festival fits the jetztgeist of our times, as we finally move out of the freemarket capitalistic era into full-fledged urban feudalism.
